What I’ve Been Working On: Self-Publishing Guided Journals
In 2024, I started a personal project that’s been both exciting and meaningful: self-publishing guided journals on Amazon KDP. I named the brand This Moment Books and Journals, and my first release is In This Moment: A Guided Journal for Parents of Young Children.
This project came from a deeply personal place. As a parent of three young kids, I’ve learned just how quickly time slips by. Parenthood is full of fleeting, precious moments—your child’s funny quotes, milestones you want to remember forever, and reflections that show how much you’ve grown along the way. Yet, with the hustle and chaos of daily life, it’s so easy for these memories to fade.
I wanted to create something that helps parents slow down and capture the heart of their parenting journey. That’s how In This Moment was born. It’s a minimalist, undated journal designed for busy parents who want a simple way to reflect and document meaningful moments. With no strict dates, you can write when inspiration strikes—whether weekly, monthly, or whenever a special moment happens.
This guided parenting journal is filled with thoughtful prompts to help parents reflect on everything from their child’s milestones to personal growth. Some prompts are lighthearted, like jotting down a funny story or favorite memory, while others encourage deeper reflection. One of my favorite parts is the space for children to join in—your little ones can add their own doodles, notes, or thoughts, making the journal a collaborative keepsake for the whole family.
