Here are some unused concepts for the Prodigal Son sermon series. A few of these I’m still pretty partial to, but I love the final published art as well. The mask at the end was stretch, and I think I knew that, but I was trying to illustrate his fall from wealth, and exposing his true self. As far as having to “kill your darlings” go I was really partial to the first one. I was bummed when I couldn’t show him at his worst in some way, but thats what mood board pages and blogs are for!
